Have you tried the so called ‘fourth class’ being offered on long haul flights? |
Called International Premium Economy on Qantas, fourth class sits between business and economy and is increasingly regarded as an ideal compromise. Fourth cabins offer more or less the same service as economy class but with a larger seat and more leg-room. They prove popular with companies that want to give their travellers the comfort of a larger seat but do not wish to pay the significantly higher premium of an upgrade to full business class.
On sale in the coming months, Premium Economy will also be progressively introduced on selected B747-400 services departing Sydney and Melbourne to the US (New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco) from late 2008, and will be available on the Qantas A380, scheduled for delivery from August 2008.
